---MEDIA ADVISORY---Centerstone, Cross Country Education and United Way of Williamson County Host Free Community Presentations for Flood Victims

Series of workshops to help flood victims learn how to cope with grief

WHAT:

Centerstone, Cross Country Education and the United Way of Williamson County will host two free community workshops in July to help local residents cope with grief caused by the recent floods. Participants will learn how to deal with and overcome the emotional toll, including feelings of fear, depression and anxiety, caused by May’s flooding.

  • The first presentation will be led by Melissa Bradley, an expert in traumatic stress. It will take place on Tuesday, July 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bellevue YMCA.
  • The second presentation will be led by Susan Gillpatrick, Centerstone’s Crisis Management Specialist, on Thursday, July 22, at 7:00 p.m. at Grassland Middle School in Franklin.

In addition, representatives from Centerstone, Cross Country Education and United Way of Williamson County will be in attendance to assist victims. Both presentations are open to the public and free of charge. Media is also encouraged to attend.
