Centerstone Celebrates 5th Annual Giving Card Campaign, Adds an Additional Week of Shopping and Saving

Shoppers Can Save 20 Percent on Purchases at Dozens of Leading Local Retailers and Restaurants Between October 23-31, 2009 and March 3-14, 2010; All Proceeds Provide Mental Health Services for Children and Families

Nashville, Tenn. – Centerstone launched its 5th Annual Giving Card campaign today and unveiled an exciting new twist for participants: two shopping weeks instead of one! As in years past, a $50 Giving Card will allow shoppers to save 20 percent at more than 100 retailers and restaurants throughout Nashville, Brentwood and Franklin. New this year, the purchase of one Giving Card will allow shoppers to receive their 20 percent discount at participating retailers during two weeks: October 23-31, 2009 and March 3-14, 2010.

VeronicaAs always, all proceeds from the Giving Card will provide mental health services for children and families in Middle Tennessee.

This year’s chairs of the annual fundraiser are Margo Fort Hall and Laura Roberts. Fort Hall, a native Nashvillian, works in the antique business and is an active member of the Junior League of Nashville. Roberts, a Franklin resident, is a public relations consultant.

“We are very excited about the fifth annual Centerstone Giving Card and are thrilled to offer supporters extra value with an expanded shopping season that features both a fall and a new spring shopping week,” said Giving Card Chairwomen Fort Hall and Roberts. “Many of our committed retailers have been with us since day one, allowing customers to shop for a cause at their favorite stores year after year. Today more than ever, people are looking for ways to stretch their dollars, and the Giving Card is a great way to do that and give back to the community.”

Shoppers who purchase the Giving Card will have the opportunity to save on everything from the latest fashions, antiques, home furnishings, floral arrangements, bridal wear, gift items, jewelry, cosmetics, books, spa and salon treatments, fine meals and children’s toys, and get a jump start on holiday shopping. They can also use their 2009-2010 Giving Card during the spring Shopping Week from March 3-14, 2010 to save on next year’s hottest items.
