SafeTALK Series on Suicide Prevention

Bloomington, Ind.—Centerstone will present a three-hour workshop (at 10 different location and times) in south central Indiana to help train and prepare individuals who work with young people to be open, comfortable and adept at dealing with youth contemplating suicide.

The SafeTALK workshops, presented by two Centerstone qualified trainers—Amanda Pardue, MS, LMHC, and Cindy Houston, M.ED, CAGS, LMFT, LCSW, MAC—are free with continuing education credits available. Dates offered are:

Attendees will learn how to recognize when a person might be having suicidal thoughts, engage them with direct and open talk about suicide, listen respectfully to person’s feelings and move quickly to connect the person to intervention resources.
