Batterers Treatment Program Ages: 18 and older

This group focuses on stopping domestic violence by helping men take responsibility for their actions, as well as increasing their awareness of signs, symptoms and the emotional precursors to violence. The group focuses on situations/scenarios, functional analysis, timeouts, communication skills, change/decision points and thinking errors. The group meets once a week for 26 weeks.
Eligibility: Client has been physically violent with their domestic partner (In some cases this may include intimidation and/or confinement). Client acknowledges his domestic violence. Client is willing to remain abstinent from alcohol and/or drugs. Client is willing to complete HW assignments and participate in group.
